We are a family run dairy farm. We are based just off of Abbotsham roundabout on the road to Littleham and have been farming here since 1936. My father and I are currently running the business and with the arrival of my daughter, and the soon arrival of the next Hockridge we are hoping to secure the future of the farm for the potential fifth generation. On our farm cow health and welfare is a top priority, healthy and happy cows are long living and productive cows. We have a low antibiotic use on the farm and no cows are routinely given antibiotics. Our cows are let out to graze in the summer months until the ground becomes too wet and the grass stops growing. The cows then return to their comfortable shed where they are fed grass and maize silage twice a day, all grown on the farm and preserved during the summer months.
The milk will be available from the vending machine and will have been pasteurised but not homogenised or standardised. This means the cream will rise to the top and if this is not to your liking simply shaking the bottle will mix it all up again. We hope to make glass bottles available for a small cost which you can purchase and reuse again and again. If not you can simply bring your own clean container
We hope to see you soon
