G.Mitchard and Sons has established itself over nearly 100 years of trade. It prides itself on giving customers what they expect – good quality local produce at affordable prices. Mitchards are proud to sell beef cattle, pigs, lambs, cheese, milk, poultry and eggs all from local farms and producers.
90% of our lambs and cattle are purchased from A Waite and Sons in Chilcompton. Our pigs are from P Raikes in East Penard. All are slaughtered at Bakers of Nailsea. Some cattle and lambs are purchased from J Heritage in Frome Somerset, those are slaughtered in Frome. All beef is hung for 2 weeks for tenderness and flavour. We cure all our own bacon and hams. Our smoked bacon is purchased from Case and sons in Gillingham. We sell local milk supplied from Midway farm. All cheeses from Windyridge farm, Wincanton. Free range eggs from Hayward Farm on Terry Hill, they also supply our xmas barn reared Turkeys
